Wow. Thank you so much for that!
I am stoked to find another article online: Focus wrote about this project, too. Wow. Thank you so much for that! Screenshot taken from http://www.focus.de/panorama/welt/gesellschaft-eine-berlinerin-fuenf-laender-und-365-komplimente_id_4436559.html

Last week I met beautiful Violetta Kuhn from the German's AP equivalent called DPA. She interviewed me and her colleague took pictures and enlightened us with stories about the way the DPA works (thanks again!). Today her article was released and I am so, so stoked and flattered to have found her content in a beautiful article published by Die Welt. Wow, thank you guys so much! http://www.welt.de/vermischtes/article136866960/Komplimente-staerken-das-Selbstwertgefuehl.html Everything about this article is amazing: The author who did a great job coming up with bright questions, her choice of words, the fact that Stern Gesund Leben gave A Compliment A Day two entire pages, and that photo shoot! This one made it to my top ten 2014 experiences. Why? Stay tuned. I complimented the photographer... Thank you so, so much Stern Gesund Leben, this is something I will show my grandchildren!
This is a screenshot taken from here: http://www1.wdr.de/fernsehen/regional/daheim-und-unterwegs/extras/extrasgalerieindex128.html Yesterday was my favorite day in 2015 so far. I got to experience television! It was the coolest adventure ever. Starting with a one hour face massage called applying make up, given by a nice lady talking to whom was a treat, I next enjoyed hanging out with sweet girls who were taking super good care of me. Finally the shooting went down in a studio full of people who I was asked to ignore and just hang out in the presenter's living room otherwise known as the set- with cameras videotaping me. It was easier than expected and although I was super nervous I ended up enjoying René's (left) and Mrs Niemeyer's (right) company a lot! They did make me feel comfortable and eventually René delivered the most beautiful compliment to me: He reported his colleague's statement, "Awesome guest! She really does make the world a better place." In front of the camera my body started tickling everywhere and for a moment left me knocked out. All I managed to say was "My hands are getting so wet right now!" It was- super beautiful. There is still a mega smile occupying my face as I am writing this. Yee :) Thank to everyone who made this happen! This screenshot was taken from http://www1.wdr.de/fernsehen/regional/daheim-und-unterwegs/sendungen/komplimente106.html
Wooohoo! Best Christmas present ever: WDR invited me to be their in studio guest! I am absolutely flattered. Turn your tv on next week: Jan 7, 4.15 PM to 6 PM. Yippie!
My phone will be ringing on New Years! 10.40 AM, Jan 1, five minute chat with a charming Katrin Schmick at WDR2. Stream here!
Wow, there was an article about this project in the Aachener Zeitung on Christmas eve! I am stoked! Thank you so much, Madeleine Gullert.
This was one of my favorite experiences in all of 2014. Being a guest to the former RIAS studio in Berlin which is soon to be turned into a museum felt incredible. Everything is just the way it used to be in the sixties: The lamps, the wardrobe, the handles... Only the microphones, cables and computers are modern ones. Plus the interview was a beautiful encounter with Sven, the radio show host. In fact this day was a dream come true for me: My class had been on a field trip to this particular building in high school- and now I was back, using the microphones, being part of the show! I danced my way up the stairs and sang very, very loud. Sooo happy! I hope I did not disturb another radio show... Anyways: Thanks again, DRadio Wissen! Absolutely looking forward to being back once this project is finished.
Last Sunday I got the chance to be teased on air! Sven and Daniel are two special hosts who wittily laugh their way through their show "Zwei auf EINS" at Radioeins. Talking to them was fun, as was brainstorming afterwards: The whole team was super interested in the project, raising questions and pointing out new perspectives to me. I spent two hours at the studio and left feeling super inspired and happy! Thanks, guys!
I love the radio: Music and the sounds of human voices are two of my favorite things in the world.
That's why I am extra stoked to be on air again soon! Next Wednesday I will chat with the guys from Redaktionskonferenz at DRadio Wissen. 6.15-8 PM GMT+1, stream here. Thanks for listening! |
