Who?
Halgi
Where?
Copenhagen, Denmark
What?
"I dig your hair!"
How did he react?
"Ha, thank you!"
How did I feel?
Traveling to Berlin from San Francisco I had a layover in Copenhagen. I left the station, ready for five hours of Copenhagen beauty. I love that city and I discovered a lot of cute things and nice surprises that night, as well as a huge compliment project which was government run! I will add pictures of that tomorrow.
But lets get back to "I left the station": Because that's right where I met my compliment candidate. Asking him for a cigarette I introduced myself to Halgi Turned out he and his friends were from the Faroe Islands, they had just stranded in Copenhagen from-... Yes... San Francisco! Ha! They had taken a different flight than me yet fate brought us together- or hotels.com which Halgi and his friends had booked rooms for the night through- unfortunately the hotel they had gone for did not know a thing about their reservations so they had just landed back on the street when I met them. We used five minutes of their homelessness to reminisce about San Francisco's awesomeness- and appreciate Halgi's hair, which looked like nothing I had see before. Shining red, full, curly and long- what a combination! Also he had the coolest Faroen name, was super easy to talk to and had a very positive vibe which I was glad to enjoy for a bit. I have no idea if he and his friends ended up with a roof over their had but I certainly crossed fingers...
Anything else?
I am stoked to share my CPH impressions with you! But I also have school in the morning and it is late, so you will have to to stay tuned as I am going to upload them soon. Here's just one little statement that covered a full facade and made me smile:
