Who?
Kathrin and Anette
Where?
Berlin, Germany
What?
"You are super sweet with each other. Overhearing your words just made me happy!"
How did they react?
They laughed and said, "Thanks!". Then they laughed some more.
How did I feel?
I heard Kathrin and Anette before I saw them:
At the drugstore, I was studying the ingredients of body lotions when a woman passed behind me. A second pair of feet came running and I heard another woman cry,
"Ey! Willste dich mal happy feeln?" ("Hey, do you want to feel happy for a second?") Her voice radiated with sunlight. Though I knew it was a lady talking she sounded like a girl who had just discovered chocolate in the kitchen cabinet and was about to secretly share it with her friend. The response: A high pitched, excited "Jaaaa!".
I smiled. Turned my head and saw one of them holding up a piece of paper, the other one smelling it. Perfume! Its name: Feel Happy.
When I went up to compliment them they both giggled and winked at each other. I was right back in the kitchen with the two girls, tasting mom’s favorite chocolate. They brightened my day in the middle of cremes, make up and the line at the register. Thank you, Anette and Kathrin, fot the beautiful encounter!
