The landscape
WHERE?
Namedy, Germany
WHAT?
"You're making me feel alive."
HOW did she react?
She stayed Imperturbable. The grass moved with the wind and the clouds walked on through the sky. But I am sure she smiled back at me in her own way: The sun sent some warm rays. And a bunch of cyclists passed by, waving at me.
HOW did I feel?
Connected.
I'd been working all day. Square-eyed and heavy-headed I went for a run. It was the only hour I spent outside the house. I did keep an eye on strangers, looking for potential candidates for a compliment. And I made a find: Hildegard, the dog sitter, with Rudi. I told them they looked very peaceful, hanging out on a bench in the middle of nowhere. It was a nice encounter, Hildegard was down for a talk and I took a break from running. She told me she wished more people let go and took a minute to chat: "Nourish the soul, you know". I replied, "yeah", and stroked Rudi for a bit.
But rule number one stays rule number one. And if I am honest, the greatest flash of "Wow, you are outstanding!" grabbed hold of me while taking in colors and forms, movements and qualities of the stunning nature of the "Romantic Rhine" area today. I was starving for fresh air and some green and couldn't take my eyes off the hills covered with forests, the vineyards and the fields. There was wonder for every bird and every snail, every lonely bench and every dead tree. Every berry, every rock, every leaf. What a beauty! I am blessed to be living in such a countryside.
ANYTHING ELSE (thoughts on the project, changes, observations?)?
Complimenting starts getting easier! I am more secure during complimenting and explaining the project. Enough positive reactions, I guess :) Feels nice!
